Before we talk about Maahärra French fries, we need to debunk some misconceptions. First, it is said that Estonians are a potato nation. In fact, the potato originated in South America, in the region around Peru, and we only became familiar with it centuries after the Native Americans. Secondly, although in English it is said to be French fries, there is still no definitive clarity about the “inventors” of French fries.
